Viewing Run History for Your Matches
Last updated: October 22, 2026
See every time similarity matches were run for a class spec, how many matches each run found, and which comparators were included.
What Is Run History?
Market matches change over time. Your agency might add a new comparator or a teammate might rerun matches after updating a spec. When the numbers on your Market tab shift, you need to know when it happened and what changed.
Run History is a log of every time matches were run or rerun for a class spec. For each run, it shows when it happened, how many matches Holly found, and the comparator groups and agencies included. That gives you an audit trail for your benchmarking, so you can explain changes to leadership or confirm a study used the right comparators.
Run History is available on both the Market and Internals tabs. The Internals version works the same way for matches within your own jurisdiction.
Common Use Cases
Confirming a study used the right comparators
You're presenting a salary survey to your board and want to make sure the data reflects your current peer group. Open Run History, expand the most recent run, and confirm every comparator agency you expect is listed.
Tracking work across your team
When several analysts work on the same classifications, Run History shows when matches have been rerun.
How to View Run History
Go to Class Specs and open the specification you want to review.
Click the Market tab.
Scroll to the Configure market matches table.
Click the three-dot menu at the top right of the table and select Run history.
Review the list of runs, most recent first.
Click the comparator summary under any run (for example, 1 group with 25 comparators) to see the agencies included in that run.
Click OK to close the window.
To view Run History for internal matches, open the Internals tab instead, click the three-dot menu at the top right of the matching table, and select Run history.
Understanding Your Run History
Each entry in the Run history window represents a time matches were run or rerun. Every entry includes:
Date and time: When the run happened.
Spec Owner/Editor: The organization the run belongs to.
Match count: How many matches Holly found in that run.
Comparator summary: How many comparator groups and agencies were included, such as 1 group with 25 comparators. Click it to see the full list of agencies, organized by comparator group.
All runs going back are preserved here, so you can follow how a spec's matches have changed over its lifetime.
Tip: A change in match count usually means the comparator list changed (agencies were added or removed) or the underlying data was refreshed.
Working with Run History
Rerunning matches
Run History is view-only. To start a new run, click Rerun matches on the Market tab. The new run then appears at the top of your Run History. See Understanding Holly's Similarity Matches.
Adding comparators before a rerun
If an agency you expect is missing from your latest run, add it to your comparator list first, then rerun matches. See 📄 How to Add a Comparator Agency.
