Overview
The Home page is organized into three tabs:
My specs — Specifications assigned to you as the document owner
My approvals — Specifications where you've been added as a reviewer
Recently viewed — The 20 specs you've opened most recently
Each tab includes status cards at the top that give you a quick snapshot of your work, plus a searchable table below.
My Specs
The My Specs tab shows all specifications where you're the document owner. This is your go-to view for tracking the specs you're responsible for.
Status Cards
The cards at the top summarize your specs by status:
Card | What it shows |
Total assigned | All specs where you are the document owner |
Drafts | Specs you're still working on |
In review | Specs currently in an approval workflow |
Published | Specs that have been finalized and published |
Tip: Click any card to filter the table below to just those specs.
Working with the Table
The table shows your specs with key details:
Status — Current state of the spec (Draft, In review, Published)
Job code — The classification code
Class — The job title
Last edited — When the spec was last modified and by whom
Use the search bar to find specs by title or keyword. You can also sort and filter columns using the icons in the table header.
Creating New Specs
Click the + Create new button in the top right to start a new specification. You can build from scratch, use AI assistance, or start from an uploaded draft. See Creating a New Specification from Scratch or Creating New Job Specifications with AI for more information.
My Approvals
The My Approvals tab shows specifications where you've been added as a reviewer in an approval workflow. This helps you stay on top of reviews that need your attention.
Status Cards
Card | What it shows |
Action required | Specs that need your review right now—you're in the active stage |
Upcoming | Specs where you're a reviewer in a future stage |
Completed | Reviews you've already finished |
Tip: Check "Action required" regularly to make sure you're not holding up a workflow.
When You Have No Pending Reviews
If no specs are waiting for your review, you'll see a friendly "All caught up!" message with an option to view all specs.
Recently Viewed
The Recently Viewed tab shows the 20 specifications you've opened most recently. This is a quick way to jump back into specs you were working on without searching for them.
Navigating to All Specs
Your Home page shows only specs assigned to you or where you're a reviewer. To see all specifications in your jurisdiction:
Click Class Specs in top navigation, or
Click the View specs button that appears when your approvals list is empty
This takes you to the full Class Specs dashboard where you can browse and search all job classifications.
