Collaborate with stakeholders on specification changes through a structured, multi-stage review process! Approval Workflow is now available to all customers after successful beta testing.
Key capabilities:
Create multi-stage workflows with as many review stages as your process requires
Add internal team members (with Holly accounts) or external reviewers (no Holly login required)
Track changes with user attribution - see who changed what and when
Leave comments, suggestions, and resolve feedback directly in the document
Send reminders to reviewers and track reminder history
Choose automatic or manual stage advancement
Force-complete stages when needed
How to use it: Open any specification and click "Start approval workflow" to begin setting up your review process.
⚙️ Spec Settings Page
Manage your specification details in one place with the new Settings page. Edit job codes, view version information, and delete specifications you no longer need.
Only the document owner can delete a specification, and you'll see a confirmation prompt before any deletion.
How to use it: Open any specification and click the "Settings" tab in the navigation.
💰 Edit Salaries
Update salary steps directly in Holly without waiting for a new data import. When you save changes, Holly automatically recalculates the minimum, midpoint, and maximum salary values for the specification.
How to use it: Click "Pay schedule" on any specification, then click "Edit" to update salary step values.
📋 Interview Question Generation
Generate potential interview questions based on any job specification. This new analysis option helps you quickly create relevant, role-specific questions for your hiring process based on the duties, qualifications, and requirements in the spec.
How to use it: Navigate to the Analysis tab for any specification and select the interview questions analysis option.
Enhancements
[🔄 Approval Workflow] Added reminder history tracking. When you send reminders to reviewers, you can now see how many reminders have been sent and when each was sent.
[🔄 Approval Workflow] You can now edit the workflow timeline even after the final stage is complete. This allows you to add additional reviewers or make adjustments before publishing the specification.
[🔄 Approval Workflow] Added comment status filtering. Filter the comments panel to show only open, resolved, accepted, or rejected items using the new dropdown filter.
[📋 Analysis] Redesigned the analysis page with a side-by-side layout. The job description now displays in a panel on the left while analysis results appear on the right, making it easier to reference the spec while reviewing analysis.
[📋 Analysis] Added collapsible job description sidebar. Expand or collapse the job description panel to focus on analysis results when needed.
[✏️ Editor] Highlighted text now displays in the comment popup. When you select text and start a comment, the highlighted text appears in the popup so you can reference it while writing.
[🔗 Benchmarks] Added "Report data as incorrect" option. Flag incorrect salary data or benchmark information directly from Internal or Market tables using the row menu.
[🔗 Benchmarks] Improved empty states for Internal and Market analysis tabs. New design with clear "Start analysis" button when no benchmarks exist yet.
[⚡ Generation] Improved distinguishing characteristics generation. When generating or regenerating spec content, Holly now includes other specifications in the same series as context, resulting in more accurate distinctions between levels (e.g., Accountant I vs II vs III).
Improvements / Fixes
[🔄 Approval Workflow] Fixed external reviewer experience - restored the ability to add comments and improved default filter settings.
[🔄 Approval Workflow] Fixed z-index issue where workflow stage boxes overlapped with reminder email popups.
[✏️ Editor] Fixed issue where highlighted text would become unhighlighted when clicking into the comment box.
[⚡ Platform] Added loading indicators when navigating to Internal and Market tabs for a smoother experience.
