📋 Tracked Changes for Specifications
Holly now automatically tracks every modification you make to a draft specification since its last published version.
Why it matters: When you're negotiating with unions, presenting to city council, or collaborating with stakeholders, transparency in your revision process is crucial. You need to demonstrate exactly what changed, when, and why.
How it works:
Navigate to any specification in "Draft" status and make your edits
Click "Export specification" and choose "Specification with redlines" to show all tracked changes
Download a professional document that clearly highlights all modifications
🔄 Create New Specifications with AI
You can now create entirely new specifications directly in Holly. Just click "Create new" above the class specs table on your main page.
How it works: Start with as little as a sentence (though more detail gives better results), and Holly will use your jurisdiction's template to generate a complete spec.
📤 Export Benchmark data
You can now export benchmarks from the platform for additional manipulation within Excel and the ability to embed within reports. Click the Export button above the benchmark comparison tables on either the Internals or Market tabs to download in either Excel or CSV.
Enhancements
Improvements to the platform that make it more powerful and easier to use.
[💰 Specifications] Creating new specs or merging existing ones now includes streamlined salary input directly during the creation process.
[✏️ Specifications] You can now edit class specification titles directly in Holly.
[✏️ Specifications] Now, you can still rewrite your entire spec with AI after entering draft mode - simply click on the drop-down menu next to the “Export specification” button and select “Rewrite spec with AI”.
[🔄 Benchmarks] Holly now automatically populates both internal and market benchmarks when you create a new spec (via merge or create new). Your new specifications are immediately ready for comparison analysis—no manual setup required.
[🗺️ Search] You can now search benchmarks by jurisdiction—for example, if you're looking for officer roles in Pinal County, simply type "Pinal County Officer" into the search box and our intelligent search will limit results accordingly.
[📊 Comparisons] Added group comparator filtering so that you can default to matches from your main jurisdiction list and use filter controls to access the broader database when needed.
[📊 Comparisons] Added a sorting filter on the "Include" column, for an easier all-at-once view of which comparators have been identified as the top relevant matches for your class specification.
[📊 Benchmarks] Rebuilt market tab to see both median and average salaries at once and view the min, midpoint, and max salary for each comparator
[🔍 Search] You can now search for specs by title code, and we've made the intelligent spec search faster and more responsive.
[💾 Autosave] Added clearer feedback about when specs are saving/have been saved so you know for sure that your changes have gone through.

Issues addressed to improve the product experience.
[🔄 Algorithm] Rebalanced our similarity scoring algorithm to ensure counties with fewer published specifications get equal representation alongside larger jurisdictions. To refresh your platform's comparisons with these improvements, please reach out to [email protected].
[⚡ Regeneration] Continuing to work on improvements to the regeneration capability reliability in the spec editor based on your feedback. We've also significantly increased the size of the regenerate instruction text box, giving you room to provide detailed, specific guidance to get exactly the results you need.
