How do I add team members to Holly? Contact the Holly team at [email protected] with the names and email addresses of who needs access. Holly will get them set up.

What's the difference between Home and Class Specs? Your Home page shows specs assigned to you and reviews waiting for your attention. The Class Specs dashboard shows all specifications across your jurisdiction, including ones you don't own. See Your Holly Home Page and Understanding the Class Specs Dashboard and Your Data.
📝 Class Specifications
How do I search for a job classification? Use the search bar on your Home page or the Class Specs dashboard. Holly's enhanced search handles typos and partial matches. See Mastering Enhanced Search to Find Specifications for tips.
How do I create a new class specification? From your Home page or Class Specs dashboard, click + Create new and choose Build with AI or Start from scratch. See Creating New Job Specifications with AI or Creating a New Specification from Scratch.
Can I delete a job specification?
New drafts you created: Yes, you can delete drafts that haven't been finalized.
Imported specifications: No. You can archive them to remove them from your active view while preserving the record.
Is there a way to practice without affecting real data? Yes. Search "demo" to find Holly's Demo Spec, which lets you try out editing, AI generation, and approval workflows without touching live data. It resets automatically every night, and there's also a manual reset button.
How does track changes work? Holly's track changes shows modifications made since the last published version. You can toggle it on or off to view the document with or without markup. See Reading and Understanding a Class Specification for more.
📊 Benchmarking & Comparators
How are comparator jurisdictions determined? Comparators are set by your administrator, typically in line with your jurisdiction's classification policy. If you're unsure which jurisdictions are included, check with your team lead or contact the Holly team.
What if a suggested match isn't a good comparison? You have two options: toggle the comparison off (which keeps it in the table as a record with a note) or remove it entirely using the dropdown on the left side of the row. See Adding and Managing Comparators for more detail.
Why isn't a position I'm looking for showing up in comparisons? The default similarity threshold is 70%. Positions titled or described very differently in other jurisdictions may not surface automatically. Use Add Comparison to add them manually. See Understanding Similarity Analysis.
Can I edit salary data? Yes. Navigate to the spec, find the pay schedule modal in the Specification tab, and edit salary steps there. To report an error in comparator data, use the Report Data Error feature or email the Holly team.
🔄 Data
How often is data refreshed? Holly refreshes salary and job description data quarterly. See How and When Holly Refreshes Your Data for what changes, what stays put, and how in-progress work is protected.
Where does Holly get its data? Holly collects publicly available information from government job posting websites, official county salary schedules, published job classifications, and public HR documents. See Understanding How Holly Collects Your Data.
🔧 Troubleshooting
The platform is running slowly or not loading. Try refreshing your browser, clearing your cache, or switching to a different browser. If the issue continues, contact Holly support through the chat icon in the platform or at [email protected].
A generation is stuck at 95%. Refresh your browser. This restarts the generation process and typically resolves the issue.
The data doesn't look right. Check when it was last refreshed. If something still seems off, use the Report Data Error feature or email the Holly team so they can investigate.
